Perkins at Hawaii Community College

This site includes information and documents related to the Carl E. Perkins Vocational and Technical Education Act and how it is administered at Hawai’i Community College (Hawai’i CC). Hawai’i CC receives Perkins funds via proposals submitted to the University of Hawai’i Community College system (UHCC), which is allocated funds from the Office of the State Director for Career and Technical Education (OSDCTE), also known as the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Center. OSDCTE is the administrative arm for the State Board for Career and Technical Education.

The OSDCTE develops and revises the State Plan for career and technical education, recommends establishment of polices for career and technical education, and assists the UHCC System and the Department of Education in planning, coordinating, and evaluating career and technical education programs, activities, and services.
